Will a 3x3m stand kit fit inside a standard UK shell scheme? +
In most cases yes, but measure before you order. Organisers sell floor space at 3m x 3m, while the usable area inside a shell scheme is slightly smaller because the shell's own uprights and wall panels sit within your plot. Check the technical manual for the internal dimensions and for whether you are allowed to fix anything to the shell walls, since many venues forbid it. A freestanding kit sidesteps that rule entirely because it stands on its own feet.
How much of the floor should I leave clear for visitors? +
Nine square metres disappears quickly. The most common mistake is a full-width table across the front, which turns your stand into a counter and stops anyone stepping in. Keep the back wall for branding, use a single slim counter set to one side as a greeting point, and leave a clear route in from the aisle. A stand people can walk into holds conversations far longer than one they have to talk across.
Can one person build a 3x3m exhibition stand kit? +
Yes for most configurations in this range, since the frames push together without tools and the fabric graphic slides over the assembled structure. Build the frame flat on the floor first, stand it up, then fit the graphic — trying to dress the frame before it is upright is what usually causes creases and dropped sections. Allow a second pair of hands if your kit includes a tall header or a mounted screen, simply because of the lifting involved.
How do the numbered models in this range differ from one another? +
The numbered models are different layouts within the same modular system rather than different quality grades, varying in wall shape, angled returns, counter positions and screen provision. Pick by how you will use the space: product demonstrations need surface and power, while a literature-and-conversation stand needs open floor. Send us your plot details and we will produce free 2D mockups of two or three options so you can compare them properly before committing.
Where should a screen go on a 3m wide stand? +
Off-centre works better than dead centre. A screen in the middle of a three-metre wall splits your branding in half and leaves nowhere for a logo to sit at eye level, so mount it to one side and keep the opposite panel clean. Check that the kit you choose includes a screen bracket and confirm the maximum panel size it supports before buying a large television. Order power from the organiser early, as sockets are rarely part of the shell scheme fee.
How should artwork be prepared for a fabric back wall this size? +
Work to the template we supply and keep logos and key text inside the safe area, because the fabric wraps around the frame edge and anything close to the border can disappear around the corner. Set the important message at standing eye level rather than high up, since visitors read a three-metre wall from a couple of metres away. Our team checks every file free of charge and will flag low-resolution images before anything goes to print.
What lighting do I need on a small stand? +
Overhead hall lighting at venues such as NEC Birmingham is designed for circulation, not for your graphics, and printed fabric absorbs more light than a gloss panel. Frame-mounted arm lights across the top of the back wall lift the colour noticeably and cost far less than an ambitious lighting rig. Angle them down onto the graphic rather than out into the aisle, and remember that lighting draws power you must book with the organiser.
How do I store the kit between exhibitions? +
Keep the frame and the fabric separate and dry. Fold graphics loosely along the same lines each time rather than pressing sharp creases into them, and store them somewhere without damp, since polyester picks up mildew marks that will not print out. Label the frame bags by section so the next build does not start with a sorting exercise, and check connectors and feet after each show — small parts are what usually go missing, not the frame itself.
