What are gazebo flags and how do they fit a tent?

Gazebo flags are small printed feather flags that attach to the frame of a pop up tent, so your branding sits above your stall instead of on a pole in the ground. They are sold in pairs, one for each of two corners, which means a market trader, caterer or event team can dress a gazebo in a few minutes with no ground fixing.

Ours are made to fit most pop-up gazebo structures using a clamp holder, so the first thing to check is the tube on your own frame.

Which clamp holder fits my gazebo leg?

The clamp is the part people get wrong, so measure before you buy. There are two clamp holder options.

Look at the upright leg or corner tube of your tent. Many pop up tents use hexagonal tube, others use square tube. Measure the width across the flat sides, and if you are unsure, send us a photo and the measurement at support@backdropsource.co.uk before ordering. If your frame has a peak or a different fixing, the printed gazebo peak flag or the pop-up gazebo flag attachment may suit it better.

What sizes and shapes can I choose?

The sizes are quoted per pair.

The slim 138cm shapes sit tall above the gazebo and read well from across a field. The teardrop is wider and shorter, so it gives you more width for a logo but stands lower.

Should I buy poles or just the fabric?

You can order the flags with poles, or fabric only. Choose fabric only if you already have compatible poles, or if you are replacing worn flags for a set you use every season. Choose with poles if this is your first set.

If your poles break or you need a different length, look at the tent flag pole page. A full-size flag on its own base is a different product, and our straight feather flag covers that.

The poles are a lightweight system with tool-free assembly, and the one thing to get right is matching the clamp to your tent leg. Once they are up, stand back and check the two flags look level with each other.

How do I get a tent display that looks consistent?

A pair of matching flags on two corners gives a symmetrical look. It works best when the flags repeat the print on your gazebo or your sign.

  • Use the same colours as your gazebo roof or walls.
  • Put your logo large, with the business name only if space allows.

If you trade at several events through the year, consider having a spare pair printed for your second pitch. Pop up tents are fitted and removed often, so replacing a worn flag is easier than finding a match later, and you can keep the same design across your whole stall.

What should I know about wind and safety?

Tents catch the wind as it is, so adding flags increases the load on the frame. As a guide, weight each tent leg, check the flags are secure, and take them off in strong gusts. Never leave a tent unattended in rough weather.

What artwork do I need and how long does it take?

Send artwork at 150 DPI or higher at full size, in CMYK, with fonts outlined and a 2.5cm bleed on every edge. Formats include AI, PSD, PDF, EPS, JPG, TIFF and PNG. A free mockup, free artwork help and unlimited revisions are included.

Production typically takes about 24 business hours after approval, and UK delivery is typically five to seven business days. Delivery is free. Accessories such as flag poles, bases and accessories can be added from our collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does each pair come as two identical flags? +
Each size is sold as a pair, and you can usually print the same design on both. If you would like two different designs, tell us before approval, and we will show you each mockup so you can check the pairing.
Will they fit a 3m x 3m gazebo from any brand? +
Fit depends on the tube shape and width, not the brand. Measure your leg, then choose Hex 40mm or Square 30mm. If your tube is another size, contact us with a photo and measurement and we will tell you what is possible.
Can I leave the flags on when I fold the tent down? +
It is better to remove them. Take the flags off, store the fabric clean and dry, and keep the clamp holders with them so everything is ready for the next event.
Can I wash the flags? +
Yes. Wash in cold water with a mild detergent, air dry or iron on a low setting, and store dry. Check them for dirt or grass stains after each outdoor event and clean them before packing.
Do I get a bag to carry them in? +
